Freespirit Yoga Studio:
Wednesdays
6-7:30PM - Level 1-2; This is a fundamentals of Anusara yoga class for students who are new to the practice or new to Anusara. The practice will be standing and seated poses discussing and applying the Universal Principles of Alignment of Anusara Yoga. Balance poses, backbends and inversions will be introduced as well as pranayama (breath) and meditation.

Fridays
7:30-8:45PM - Level 1. Introduction to Anusara yoga. This is a great class for beginning students or students wanting to deepen their knowledge of the principles of Anusara. Standing and seated poses are practiced, including twists. You will learn how to apply the principles and move towards backbends, inversions and balance poses.

Studio Space is limited and studio classes are session classes. No drop-ins please unless previously arranged. Sign up for these classes with Mary Pat by email or phone (970-485-0526).

Level I/II Anusara - Fundamentals of Anusara Yoga:
Perfect for beginners or those new to Anusara Yoga. Universal Principles of Alignment as developed by John Friend will be taught, reviewed and examined. This practice includes sun salutations, standing and seated poses. Backbends and inversions will be introduced.No previous yoga experience necessary. New students must complete six Level I classes before moving on.

Level II/III Anusara: students must have a good working knowledge of the universal principles of alignment as taught in the Anusara system. Backbends and inversions will be practiced.

Arrive early to ensure a space and allow yourself time to settle in. New students please try to arrive 10 minutes early to register and acquaint yourself with the facility. All students, if you find you are late please be respectful of others and enter quietly.
Layer clothing for comfort. Wear clothing appropriate for expressive movement (tights, bike shorts, athletic wear, etc.) Loose clothing allows for freedom of movement but baggy shorts are not appropriate. Yoga is practiced with bare feet.
Turn off pagers and cell phones or leave them in the car. Allow yourself to disconnect and be present for class.
It is best not to eat at least 2 hours before class. If you need a snack, juice or an energy bar an hour before should not cause digestive discomfort.
Please no strong perfumes or scented lotions.
If you have an injury or chronic condition please discuss this with the teacher PRIOR to class beginning. v Bring an open heart, be open to possibility and enjoy a joyful practice. Be physically and emotionally prepared to work and have fun.
