Hello, my name is Mary Pat Cropper and I am delighted and honored with your interest in Free Spirit Yoga. I began studying yoga in 1995 and became a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner in 1996. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and became an Affiliated Anusara Yoga Instructor in 2002.

I met John Friend in 1999 after I had been teaching yoga at the Silverthorne Rec Center for 3 years. John's system of Anusara Yoga, based on the Rajanica Tantra philosophy was exactly what I had longed for - A joyful, spiritual practice based on alignment of the outer body with the inner body, and glorifying every body, each unique person as an expression of the Divine Spirit. It was like coming home. Since 1999 I study with John yearly and have completed Level 1 and 2 Teacher Training and the Master Teachers' Immersion with him. I study regionally with senior Anusara instructors Jamie and Justin Allison, Anthony Bogart, and many other wonderful Colorado Anusara teachers whenever possible.

I love all the elements of Anusara yoga and am excited to share them with my community. It is a life transforming practice and a study that deepens with each passing year. I have lived in Summit County for over 20 years, and raised our 3 children and several dogs, bunnies, kitties and guinea pigs here. My husband shares my love of Anusara Yoga and practices with me regularly. I am happy to discuss your practice with you and help you determine what is a good fit for your life at this time. Private yoga instruction, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, and/or special group classes are all possibilities that we can explore.
